Hair loss scalp pain

Hi
I'm new to this page but happy to join. Bascically I have been receiving scalp pain and itchiness past 3 years as I hade been going through so much stress in my life. The hairloss started from having sharp pain in three places on my scalp. From these 3 places On my scalp bald patches have formed. Now my hair is thinning out all ova and the bald patches are geting bigger. I have finally brought my self to do something about this. So went to see dertomtoligist he said you have buring scalp syndrome and gave me doxipin 25mg. Iv been taking doxpin 25mg but my pain goes away but my hair loss increase my scalp is showing more and more. Can anyone help me as confirm what condition I have or I medication is right for me
