I was diagnosed about 5 years ago with Alopecia, and thankfully it has been a slow process. My crown is my problem. I am looking for a hair piece that maybe I can stick on to blend with my hair. Anyone have recommendations?

It sounds like you are looking for a topper. You can buy toppers from a number of places, depending on what type of hair you're looking for (e.g., human or synthetic). Wigs.com carries toppers -- synthetic and human hair. For very high quality European/Russian hair toppers, you can try Amy Gibson, Follea, and Flora (there are others, you just have to spend some time researching).
Yes, my preference is always to see and try on the piece in person, too. It just depends on where you are located or whether you're willing to travel. Big cities are typically best in terms of selection. Follea has several authorized vendors in big cities around the country.
Re human hair: You can always have it colored -- meaning, what you buy doesn't have to be the color that you want. I get my wigs colored. (You do have to do touch-ups/re-colors every few months.)
