Hi,

I'm a guy in my thirties who did a hair transplant without much research. It's been about 7 weeks from my operation and all I can say is that STAY CLEAR of hair transplants. The scarring on your head can be pretty horrible and the healing time will destroy you.

I am now wondering what will the end result be. I might have to shave down with pretty bad scars... A healthy shaved head is beautiful. This is a nightmare!

Scars will fade in time; they're usually pretty ugly at the start.

My problem with a transplant is that you can't transplant what you don't have.

And, I'm surprised that a reputable doc would do a transplant on someone with alopecia. (Assuming you have alopecia and not just male pattern baldness or you wouldn't be here.)

Hi,

It's natural to have some scars after a hair transplant or beard transplant surgery. But over time they heal completely and you don't need to worry about it.

Just look at this photo which is before and after image of a beard transplant surgery. There isn't any scar, and his face healed completely.
