Hello.  My daughter was just diagnosed.  I was impressed with how thorough the doctor was.  Took a bunch of labs, did a biopsy, etc.  Started her on clobetasol.  I'm just wondering if there is even more I should have looked into.  Like a gluten free diet, etc.  I'm thinking about taking my daughter to a naturopath.  Have any of you done this and did they look into more things than a regular doctor?  And did you have good outcomes from it?  Thank you so much

Ive seen both medical and natural specialists. I have recently gone onto a raw vegan diet and have had a lot of new hair growth in previous bald spots, its still at the white downy type hair growth, but definitely growing back.

Hi I tried last year and saw a naturopath, gluten is deemed bad for us and mostly I try and avoid it, she took me off dAiry and put me on loads of supplements including high fish oil, I have not had any regrowth yet, I get constant infections in the lung, and don't know how to avoid them, it's a constant battle.

Just one person's experience but ... I developed bald spots, went immediately to a naturopath and followed her gluten-free diet to the tee. I bought and took hundreds of dollars worth of recommended supplements.  I had not ever had a health condition I could not "fix" so I hoped that this naturopathic treatment would work.  I exercised daily and very healthy. She guaranteed my hair would come back. If anything, the naturopathic treatment seemed to heighten my shedding and I was bald (alopecia universalis) in 2 weeks.  I swear the treatment accelerated my immune system's reaction.    Years later,  I have still maintained healthy lifestyle and I try gluten-free sometimes and never has my hair reappeared.  Just my own experience but I throw it out as caution ... naturopaths can get expensive!
