I have been reading through the many stories of 'Children with Alopecia' and I feel so emotional reading about so many young kids coping with Alopecia through their childhood. It can be so hard for other kids to accept what they don't understand... some kids are lucky and have friends or social circles which accept their Alopecia... and then those who struggle to fit in.

My son has just begun this journey, and I do not know if his experience will be short with only minimal hair loss...or something he will have to cope with in varying degrees throughout his life... but I inspired by some of the stories on this site (especially from the Adult members) and I know that where to turn for support and advice should my son's Alopecia develop.

"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade"...is a saying that many of you seem to live by...it's wonderful!

I love lemonade, I wouldn't be where I am now without the help and support of friends and my great alopecian friends.
