I'm hoping you can help a dear friend of mine of Black African Heritage. She's looking for a wig with locks that resembles her own hair. If possible, she'd like to be able to pull her own remaining thin locks through her wig. Years ago, she made a commitment to wear her hair in locks for the rest of her life, even if she lost her hair again. The wig specialist she's seeing is accustomed to white hair, & is not understanding my friend's commitment to locks. She even said the one wig with locks she could find was ugly.

Hi Lisa,

Is she able to travel or will it be an internet purchase? Is there a photo of the style of locks she's aiming for?

Thea
Thanks, Thea. She's able to travel if needed. I don't have a recent photo--have asked her for one.
or a photo of a celebrity in the style she's looking for. More like Whoopi or like Lenny Kravitz?
I saw Whoopi from the front row of an auditorium a few years ago. I was below and she was on stage level....I had little theater type binoculars and really wanted to see her hairline, but there was not way to raise the scopes and stare from the front row.

Thea
more like Whoopi, with medium length thin locks. Funny imagining using binoculars in the front row. Also funny how we, too, want to get a good look at women with hair loss.
