Hehe, I know all of you know all about the Alopecia condition, but this is copied and pasted from my Facebook & Myspace. :) AS long as she gets through this round today, she will win atleast $1000! Hey everyone, if yall have time, I would love it if you could go and vote for my Mom. She is in the Dallas Jack.fm March Baldness Best Chrome Dome contest. Haha. The top prize is $5000, and there are 3 runner up prizes of $1000. It works on a bracket system just like in basketball. You can only vote once per day, but I would really appreciate it if yall could help us out! This is one of the very first public things my Mom is doing since shaving her hair. She thinks its hilarious!

For those of you that don't know, my Mom has Alopecia Areata which is a hair loss condition. There is nothing wrong with her physically. SHe is not sick in any way, and feels fine. It's an auto-immune disorder that causes your body to attack its own hair follicles and make your hair fall out. There is no cure, and there is not much known information on it. Her hair may or may not come back, or she could end up losing every hair on her body including eyelashes and eyebrows. When this happens its called Alopecia Universalis. We hope this doesn't happen, but there is no control over it if it does. She just focuses on the fact that it could be much worse, and she could be bald for a reason far more serious!
