Hi All,

I was diagnosed with AA last year, in May. My hair grew back before I started realizing that I have this disease. However, a small bald spot left without hair. My hair dresser noticed and I left without taking any treatment. In december i noticed the spot increased in size. Then i consulted a derm and he gave two injection on my scalp and advised to apply minoxidil on my scalp. All went fine for three months now again my hair fell off in the same place where it was appeared last time. I am taking shots again and applying minoxidil.

Also, I have been loosing lot of hair and front of my head is thinning. Is this because of alopecial effect?. My doctor told its male pattern baldness. Daily i am loosing lot of hair though i have one bald spot on the head.

Please adivse.

Thanks.

Sounds like what happened to me.  Two years later, I've lost most of my lashes and brows, most of my mustache and beard and almost all of my body hair.  The hair on my head is hanging on through use of squaric acid and now I'm trying an iGrow helmet light since April 22.  Not sure of the results on that yet but I have been able to resist shaving my head so far.

Unfortunately, there is no rhyme or reason to how the hair loss occurs.  Alopecia is not something anyone has found a cure for and all we can do is try each treatment out there until we either get some results or we get comfortable with the hair loss.
