Has anybody's FFA hit the "burn out" stage - and if yes, about how many years did it take?

I have about 1 inch of hair loss - to a point where I can still wear my hair cut, and have it go fairly unnoticed... barring any wind.  ha ha.  Is receding one inch possible?  This started back in 2010... with two spots above my ears... It has gotten worse, and I lost my eyebrows, and all of my leg hair.  Just curious if anybody has a success story whereby they can still wear their own hair - and the disease has seemed to slow - or better yet - burn out.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

My FFA started back in 2010, and to this day it still has not burnt out.  I have been lucky to have some hair regrowth on the frontal part, but never on the sides.  I can still wear my hair cut normally, but have to be careful on windy days.

As part of the treatment, I take Finesteride, which helps with some regrowth of my hair and helps me keep what is still there.
