My son has what I think is alopecia areata. He is one. His hair began to thin over a few weeks time, then all of his hair fell out rapidly in 3 days time. It fell out so fast, that there was hardly time for it to be patchy hair loss. I lifted the hair off the top of his head where I noticed it was thin and there was a giant bald spot covering the entire back of his head, then in 3 days it all fell out except for a few hundred hairs scattered about. He looks completely bald now, but has some regrowth in the back and on the sides that are fluffy and curley in the back and short and straight in the front. He has a bald top and upper back of his head. He then lost his eyebrows. He loses the eyebrows while experiencing regrowth and parts of the rest of his head.

Did anyone else experience such rapid hair loss?
