So we had our first, "Is he suffering from cancer?" question tonight from one of the kids at my daughter's school. My son is a special needs child who attends a school with special ed classes and my daughter attends a different school. The kids at Andrew's school have been (for the most part) talked to about what's going on with his hair. He's comfortable not wearing a hat so I don't push it. How do you handle the cancer questions when asked by kids? I certainly didn't mind her asking. It was sweet and you could see that she was concerned. How do you explain to an 8 year-old that your son's body has decided it's allergic to his hair?

I would love to hear how you've handled this situation with your child.

Thanks!
Dana
