We've just received the confirmation today. she's pretty much hairless (except for a few whisps on her head) and seems to be coping well. However, she's a special needs child and has emotional issues, anxiety, and possibly asperger's syndrome. I'm not sure how to keep her happy during those sad times.

She may also have sensory issues, and doesn't like to wear bandanas or do rags - so wigs are out as well.

any suggestions on how to help a special child cope would be appreciated. thanks!

I have AU also ive had it since i was 3. You might not want to listen to me cause im only 12 now but i still dont wear wigs, hats, sarfs, etc. If she doesnt want to wear anything dont make her. My parents laid out a bunch of scarfs, hats, wig and let me choose. But wearing wigs takes a while to get use to. They are hot, sweaty, itchy and annoying.

i guess that might help.
