Hi!

I bought my first wig- its a RW. Since it is my first wig I cant really say, if its a good wig or not. The front lace looks really fake, so ill have to cut bangs in it. But overall it really suits my face. I have a problem- the wig cap is too big. The wig is a mono and has lace front. I tried to search through YouTube to find a video that shows how to cut and sew the cap to make it smaller but i haven't found any usefully videos. Does somebody here have a good advice on altering the cap?

Thank you

Stella

For sure you can't make the mono top area more narrow which is sometimes what people with petite narrow heads wish.

But you can take a tuck in the wefts either across or up and down-depending where you feel the fulness.

If you take a horizontal tuck-or remove a weft and then take a horizontal tuck - this removes fullness from the top and crown of the wig, the forehead to nape measurement, but it doesn't make the cap tighter.

To make a cap tighter I usually take a tuck down the centre back, or 2, each one off centre. But that's more tedious work, each weft has to be tucked and sewn-the results are worth it though because you find that the wig sits nicely along the lower back area above the nape.
