How do you accept that the person who gave birth to you isn't comfortable around you because you have trichotillomania?
She stares at me all the time with no smile but a frown. I get upset and she tells me she can't control it and that I'm the one who is hurting her feelings.

I'm sure your mom loves you and doesn't mean to hurt you. Like Wise1 said, she probably doesn't know what trichotillomania is and probably doesn't know what you are going through. Maybe you can try to get someone like a doctor or something to explain it to her so she could be more understanding. I'm sure she wants the best for you and wants you to be happy- after all that's what moms are for! Btw you are really beautiful - don't let anyone or anything get you down, just keep smiling:)
