I have never met anyone else in my life with alopecia.

Yes it is true. I'm 38 yrs old male and I have never met anyone else with alopecia. So I'm just looking to chat share experiences. Please don't be shy.

Hi All,

I was 43 when my alopecia started. I am now 51. 

I spent the first year after diagnosis visiting Alopecia World on pretty much a daily basis. I found it and still do very helpful.

After the first year I attended the NAAF Conference and have done so every year since. I have met some of the most wonderful people in the world by going. it has such a life changing impact for so many people with alopecia as well as their family.

I had Alopecia Areota when I was in 6th grade. I no longer have it. Pleased to meet you.

Your hair grew back? what did you do? Mine tended to grow back but then every time it falls out again, so frustrating

How long you started AA?

Apparently 1 person in a 100,000 has AU. I live in the  City of Coventry with has 330,000 people. A few years ago I stood in a queue in a Co-Op shop. The man in front of me had AU and the man behind me had AU. We 'broke bread' ha ha.

I have seen many more people with AU (men and women) wandering about.
