Lord how I hate having to go have my hair trimmed. I went with my mom, because she has soooo much hair that she wants me to watch how they trim it, so that I can do it for her (I already color it for her)

Anyway, I decided to have my hair trimmed cause I am getting a lot of breakage b/c of split ends, but it is so embarrassing with my white girl scalp shining up to meet the world.

The hair dressers always oh and aww over my hair clips and clothes b/c they are trying to avoid talking about my hair. lol. It's awkward for them, and awkward for me.

The hair dresser did say that one of her clients that has suffered with hl for years, has a really great local lady that puts in extensions for her. She said the woman is cheap and very good, has been doing it for years with no noticeable effect on the small amount of hair she still has.

She promised she would get the info for me and call me. I had to give her my mom's cell number b/c my own phone is locked in a time safe until late tues a.m. (very weird story), so I am hoping to get some info back,

Anyone do that? With diffuse thinning all over the crown??

I first found out I had alopecia from my hairdresser! The doctors didn't know what it was, but she knew right away. I have known several people (none with hair loss) who have had extensions. They are kind of a pain in the rear from what I hear. I'd be interested to hear from someone with alopecia who has done this.
I have never heard of extensions giving you coverage on the crown but if they do please let me know!! I thought extensions mainly gave you length and volume on the sides. Let us all know what you find out.
