If you got your hair back after loosing it all, please tell me how long?

Hi all, been looking for a forum like this forever... in Swedish til I was smart enough to look beyond the borders :)

so, I have had AA since I was 6 years old, then I actually lost all hair, but got it back. Then AA up to 30 years old, patches moving around but always hideable. Then I got my first child at 32. The patches didnt grow back, instead it all came of, but during a period of mabye 2-3 years, I am now bald at 34, but have some few hairs left on my head making me look like an alien if I dont shave them off :)

The process was very slow, and I understand that for some it has only taken a few months for all to come off. I would like to see if there are more people that had my kind of slow development, and then what happened? Did any of you get your hair back? If so, how long did it take? I have only read little here yet but think I saw some that did get hair back after 3-5 years of baldness??

I am mostly interested if I should keep any hope for getting hair back, or if I should prepare for eyebrows and eyelashes to go too. I am pretty ok with this disease, it´s only hair :)
People have much worse things happen to them I think. I get sad to read about people wanna kill themself for this disease. Lift your eyes to the horizon and see all the beauty in the world, which we actually can take part in. Just a concluding thought :)
