So it's 3:47AM (EST)... can't sleep, been googlin random stuff for the past 3 hours, and decided to look around for other people with alopecia and look what I stumbled upon.

My story? Well my father was killed when I was 3 so my mom sent me to live with my grandparents in belgium (yea, overseas), sometime when I was 3 or 4 I remember waking up one morning and seeing alot of hair all over my white pillow case, I didn't know what to think of it, that same day I took a bath and I seen alot of hair floating around in the water, again, I didn't know what to think of it.. that left me with patchy spots of baldness and hair which just hasn't been the same since. My hair use to grow in patches, then fall out right before I had a full head of hair, and grow back again so I started shaving it even though I don't walk around with a baldy, I wear a du-rag (just kind of shave it because i hate looking at myself in the mirror like that.)

Anyway, I was recently incarcerated (stupid, i know), and i dont know if it was stress or I was just due for it, but shortly after, I shaved my head in jail and it grew back a little, shaved it again and it hasn't grown back at all since, I spent about 16 months in jail, and not a single strand has grown back on my head at all, which sucks because I thought since I had patches I had some kind of hope which has now turned into hopelessness but what ever..

Wish i had some of the confidence some of you people have, you know, the "it's what's on the inside that counts", "accept yourself" blah blah, all those statements are true just wish I didn't have to try to conform to them.
