So its been over 2 and a half years now started off with one small patch of hair missing on the back of my head which became bigger in size then 3 or 4 smaller patches of hair loss around my head everything has grown back now apart from the one patch of hair missing on the back of my head which was the largest and was the very first to occur ..at first I thought id wait it out since my gp recommended I wait it out within the first year everything grew back apart from the very first patch its now been over 2 and a half years and its just basically stuck like that my gp did mention creams and all sorts to me from the start which I tried he also told me about an injection and that it should be the last thing I should do since it can cause side effects and could even make it worse depending on the person which put me off it.

My question is has anyone had any type of injections done for aa? if so can they explain a bit more about it to me please? is it just one injection? a monthly thing? cost? pain? any info on it will be helpful I am considering it even though I hate injections since I am sick and tired of wearing hats I hardly even go out any more because of it since im very self conscious.
