Hi All, I have been lurking on this forum since the JAK news came out and I really appreciate seeing the results of those who have been able to get them. I am so jealous of those who have got their hands on these drugs and yet I worry for you all being on them long term/systemically. I wanted to share with everyone who is taking them and considering taking them, this audio interview with Dr. Christiano I found online. I was very encouraged to hear her say that the topical form of JAK inhibitors she made for her research worked BETTER than the systemic/oral version. Here is the link: https://vimeo.com/149187741
She also mentions that any doctor in the US can write a scrip for a pharmacy to compound these drugs into a topical. She doesn't give the ideal formula, but maybe a physician can find that out.
Now, how do we all encourage a "Big Pharma Partner" to make the topical version and do a big trial? I am afraid that this will be avoided since our disease is "cosmetic" and the major pharma people know that it will be a bear for us to get insurance coverage (which would mean they won't make money).
