Is it AT or AA?

Hello there!

surfing through alopeciaworld.com a question pop-up in my mind: do I have AT or AA?

Currently I have no hair on my scalp, some of it in the nose, some hair in my eyebrows, half of eyelash (dark, thin but stil...), but any other place on my face has the normal hair (the usual hair on mustache, cheekbones etc).

I'm living in the easten Europe and even if my hair fell off when I was 5 no proper diagnostic was established (none of the many doctors performed me any special blod/tyroid test that I read about on this website :(). I never had any other disorder and my condition was always solely about the hair (no tyroid, diabet or any kind of other medical problems).

So, now I'm wondering... do I have AA or AT?
I believe that at first was AA, but when I was 18 all my hair, my eyebrows and my eyelashes fallen off so I believe that I have AT ever since...

Just to clear this I also intend to perform some proper tests (maybe somewhere in Europe) in order to get a proper evaluation - does anyone knows a European clinic speciliased on alopecia or similar imunological deseases?

I had the same...all off (AU) in 1994, but then grew back facial hair except for top (AT). I am of East European descent, but know no clinics. Go to the Polish Alopecian Group on this site, or to members from Eastern European countries, and ask the dermatologist question.

Your suggestion regarding the Polish Alopecian Group might be helful, so thank you!! I'll look into it!
