If you have read my discussion in the past, I had great progress in my hair returning, my eyebrows were full, and my lashes were long and beautiful!! Then like it happens to many of us, it teased me for about 9months and then all fell out again. Was it a coincidence that my PCP decided to change my dose of my synthroid medication right at that time and two weeks later is when I started noticing the shedding of all my hair again?? She refused to put me back, so I could just see if their was a link to this, and seek help with an Endocrinologist next. I am just waiting now for this appointment next month and to see if he agrees or not.
Any input on this? Has anyone else found help seeing an Endocrinologist for help with this lovely autoimmune disorder?
Thanks

Hi

I believe there is a link between all auto immune conditions. What this means for you I'm not sure, but I would talk to another doctor (possibly your endocrinologist) and get a second opinion.

Thank you, Rose Marie!
I went to my GP last week to ask if I was in danger of developing any other illnesses now I have alopecia, she told me I am now at risk of diabetes, thyroid problems and vitamin B12 deficiency, so the answer to your question is yes there is a link. Hope this helps you.
