Is thyroid linked to alopecia?

I dont have problems with my thyroid but my mother did. Could this be the reason why i have alopecia. Also, i think my grandma has lupus but its not the severe kind. Could these all be reasons why i have alopecia?

My daughter and I both have a thyroid problem called hasimito disease and alopecia - both linked as we both have over active immune systems - I have to go to work so leave me with any questions I am happy to get back to you later x
