My scalp is starting to itch. Does itching mean hair is growing. I look but I don't see any new hairs.

Hi Sonia,

I did get mad itching, sadly it was related to hair loss not growth.
When my leg hairs were on the way out they itched like hell.
Dermatologist said it was the follicle reacting to a percieved threat ie attacking itself.

I hope this is not the case for you and it does bode well for your hair growth (I have had mad itching when hair was growing after an operation a few years back too!) :)

HTH,
Greg
Oh gosh I hope that it means it's growing. This is really hard to deal with I truly hope they find a cure. I did find someone from israel he specializes in medical herbs. Supposedly he has brought back hair. He has a page and he will ask you questions and you have to send in pictures. I haven't been able to respond but I surely will. I pray this does work. He actually sends you the products. His name is shmuel gonen. Read his page and see if your interested in his products. You only know if you try. Info@shmuelgonen.com. If any info please let me know. Thank you
Hi Sonia,

Personally I wouldn't waste my money. There's a fair few charlatans kicking about taking advantage of vulnerable people (most of us going through or having gone through these episodes will have been at the point of "I'll try anything" along the way). I supect this chap is one of these charlatans.

My thoughts, save your cash and go on a nice holiday instead.

That's what I'm doing :)
I did thought about him like I winder if his product work? I went to Bosleys yesterday. They told me to wait because they see some hair growing. I was so excited but that's on my left side. My right side it's not growing. I have to wait and see if. Any hair more areas of my hair doesn't fall off especially from the back. From the back of my head us wherethe healthiest and stronger part of the hair is and that's called the donor area. They take hair from the donor area and place it on the bald spots. I have seen a few men had it done and it looked pretty good as I was there in the waiting room. Now I don't know if they had alopecia or it was just bald hereditary or what medical condition they had. I honestly pray thry find a cure for this soon. This is really stressful and it doesn't help.
Try not to worry Sonia, but I know it's stressful and easier said than done.
I'll be honest with you, hair transplantation and that sort of thing, well it's expensive and I'm not sure it would have worked for me - my entire epidermis is shutdown!
Either way do try and stay positive.

ETA: Beware the hawkers promising you the world. Just looked up Bosleys, I'm sure they are great, but I guess it depends on your diagnosis.
Make informed decisions based on facts/science and then, if you have any $ left, do what makes you fell better about the condition (all the "other" things to try like accupuncture etc etc etc). Just make sure you get the best value for your bucks, and that means sticking with proven meds/procedures.
Don't want to rain on your parade, but just make sure you look into all the facts before embarking on any of the roads you mention above.
Oh yes thank you. I definitely wil nit send any money . If it's a reasonable price I'll think about it but it sure is convincing he has his web page and all the testimonials even the live testimonials. His name is Shmuel Gonen. I have him on face book and I did wrote to three of his friends and asked them if they used the product. But they haven't answered. Gosh so you had this condition since you were young or recently? I had it for about 2 1/2 years.
Webpage and testimonials, sounds too good to be true right? Well that's probably because it is!
Remember what I said above about facts and science before sending a penny to your facebook friend :)
I'm pretty new to this, about 6 months now.
But I had a good innings with hair, so can't complain.
