Yes I know it's weird but this just makes me feel much better knowing there is a site that supports woman (people) like me. Most people don't know what I see when I get home and lift my hair up in back and see clean big spots. It is just heart breaking. My husband don't understand and it's so hard bc although it's someone you love so much, it takes that 1 thing to set you so far apart. And for me it'my alopecia. I often feel so alone and lost without my hair and watching it just bald. I have cried, prayed, tried different remedies and all but it just keeps balding. Sorry so much detail.

It's not weird and don't apologize for sharing.  I completely understand how you feel.  I began losing my hair years ago and it just got worse.  I shaved my head a couple of months ago and it was not an easy decision.  I've been wearing wigs for a little over a year and now sometimes I go out without the wig.  My boyfriend is supportive but sometimes he oversteps and that gets on my nerves.  It is hurtful and annoying when the one you love doesn't get it or says or does the wrong thing at the wrong time.  I too have cried and prayed.  I've gone through all the emotions and sometimes I go through them again but I'm in a much better place and I pray that you will get there too.  This site meant a lot to me when I found it also.  It was very encouraging and your post was too.

I apologize to Missy, but it seems to me that you underestimate the love that your husband has for you. Alopecia is a fait accompli and this cannot be changed. You need to let go of these thoughts and think about your future. Does prayer help you? If you are not very religious then you can try to follow the signs of fate. There are so-called angel numbers. Here is a typical example of interpretation - https://www.sunsigns.org/angel-number-777-meaning/ Maybe it will distract you from your experiences and show a new path.

i understand exactly how you feel. and I especially remember how it felt when I had my first really bad episode. The good news is that they are understanding this disease more and more and I expect there will be a new drug on the market in the next couple of years. I have been on a trial and after losing all of my hair and shaving it bald (thanks to my boyfriend), i found a clinical trial and its coming back. Hang in there and DO NOT FIXATE on what you have lost. i know it's difficult, but try to take a deep breath, know that you are going to be able to deal with this whether you get you hair back or not. Although, i honestly think the treatment is around the corner. This forum has been everything to me, you will find out more here than your dermatologist knows most likely. Stay encouraged, Beautiful!!
