I am still lost on all these different wigs styles. I own two wigs one synthetic by Raquel Welch the always style, havent worn it I really am not that pleased with it, and the other is 100% human hair which is really heavy. I would like to purchase a lace wig, but I am not to sure where to find one that is reasonbly priced and looks great. Also not sure what front lace and full lace mean? I looked at some websites and all the lace wigs are just one style am I suppose to have it cut some where and styled? Is there any sites that already are styled that I can choose from? I appreciate all the advice, I am so ready not to stress about this anymore.

Thanks for all the information! So the full lace wigs you buy are human hair I take it. Do they last a long time if she has worn it for awhile? I wish you had some pics it sounds amazing!!
I haven't bought many hh wigs but I understand when you say they can be heavy. Most people buy a lace front wig because they want the convenience of a conventional wig cap-with adjuster straps at the back and no real need for doing any attachment with glue or tape. The lace front (usually) allows for off the face styling, i.e. no need for bangs to cover up the hair line. In a lace front wig the front hair line is supposed to be very realistic and I think wig makers have realized that bangs are not what every one wants. Many companies that mainly do synthetic wigs are now doing some in lace front.

A full lace wig does need attachment with either glue or tape. There are many people who wear them, sometimes only a day at a time, sometimes for several days at a time, and I'm sure some of them can give you more info on dealing with that issue. The attachment thing is sort of a big committment, it seems and somewhat of a learning curve.

But very few lace wigs come pre cut-so yes, line up a stylist you can trust.
Hi Laura - Can I ask why you don't like the Raquel Welch wig? I almost bought that one, but didn't want to spend the money and be disappointed. I've had a few bad experiences buying things online that can't be returned.
Thanks,
Jenna
I am just not happy with what the part looks like, it looks like the hair is broken on top if that makes sense, I love the style, how light it is and the color.
Hi I have just ordered my first full lace wig from a company called advanced lace wigs .co.uk, the girl who owns the company emma is really really friendly and helpfull, she has guided me through every step and is also going to trim the lace for me which is great as i was dreading that, she also says if i take my own adhesive she will install it too at no extra cost, mine has cost me £250. really looking foreward to recieving it!!!!
Thats awesome hope it works out great for you. Let me know when you receive it! Did you get customized to what you wanted?
