Latest Research on Androgenic Alopecia & Alopecia Areata....possible cure?

So I was reading today that the Scientists at the University of Pennsylvania announced that they had discovered an enzyme which caused baldness. This enzyme Prostaglandin D2 was found to be present on the scalp of balding men at far higher levels than normal, which according to them is preventing hair follicles from maturing and therefore stopping them from working and growing hair. So now there is some talks with several pharmaceutical companies about developing treatments which could be available in two years. Keep in mind this was recently announced in August of this year. So I guess if you have this issue you won't have to save money anymore for hair transplant to achieve coverage. Of course I doubt it works for everybody. But I know people who are very happy with their hair transplant. And if that didn't catch ur attention the Korean scientists claims to have yet another potential to treat androgenic alopecia as well as alopecia areata. yup u heard right. How you may ask? Well using Grateloupia elliptica, a red seaweed native to Jeju Island, South Korea. I guess we'll have to wait and see what they come up with and if it will work and how it will be use. That being said what are your thoughts about this? And if the FDA approves it will you ask ur doc to put you on it? Or will you not take the chance with the what if it don't work for you? For me personally I would try it but first find out if this new medication will be in a form of a pill or injected or cream and for how long will i have to be on it and will there be any side affects? Let me know what u think and what this means for you. :)
