I am desperately looking for a wig salon with a large inventory. I have so little choices locally that I am willing to drive 2 or 3 hours. I would love to find a consultant who really knows what she is doing. I prefer a topper in lieu of a full wig since I do have enough bio hair to clip the topper on to. The toppers I have tried on locally did not have a mono top, looked like I had just plopped down a wad of fake hair on top of my head. My solution has been to cut down wigs and make my own topper, and it works ok. I think I am ready to venture into HH in lieu of synthetic. Is it really worth the expense? Anybody have any recommendations for a wig salon or a particular wig manufactuer? I have 2 wigs (now cut into toppers) from Gabor and one from Estetica. The Gabor wigs are pretty thick, the Estetica is much less dense, but the hair is not as soft as the Gabor ones. But, I have to say I did pay more for the Gabor wigs. I have asked my local hairdresser to thin my wigs, but she is afraid she will ruin them. I am watching youtube videos to try to learn how to do this myself. Thanks for your help.
