Have dealt with this since I was 12, when I lost it all, got it back by 17, off and on since then, but mostly OK.  Now 41 and for whatever reason, it is has been ravaging me for the past couple years.  Eyebrows almost gone, eyelashes gone, nasal scilia gone and the head is getting out of control to the point where it looks awful.  Doing shots, trying olux, minoxidil, everything.  But it may be time to make peace and move on.

My main concern about shaving is the map effect.  Have seen some tips, but is it just going to look like crap?  Is there any makeup (I'm a guy) that evens it out?

Also, if anyone can recommend a permanent cosmetic place in the DC area that can do hair stroke technique tattooed eyebrows, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone.

If you put dark brown/black mascara on your eyebrows it will bring out what you have and what you don't see that's actually there. It really works. Just do it lightly to look realistic. Experiment. Put it where you'd like your eyebrows to be - there are tiny, short hairs hiding. Hope this helps. The no eyelash thing I've seen on men before. Just try to get some eyebrows. You'll look fine after that.
Hey there Greg, another Greg here :)
I just did the whole Shave thing, and it's quite liberating I have to say.
I guess I'm lucky my hair was greying before I got AA, and my AA was progressing quite aggresively so...I just did it!
A tan helps apparently, I'm Irish so I have skin that's more pale blue than white (!) but I'm working on a tan at the moment, hopefully my scalp will even out over time :)

Best of luck with it...
Nice post Andy, glad to hear things are working out for you :) Tough stuff to go through but dammit you are right, onwards and upwards!
