So, my husband read in Men's Health magazine a couple weeks ago that about 90% of people who have AA are Vitamin D deficient.  I immediately called my son's Pediatrician and ordered a blood test.  She just called, and sure enough, he's low.  Normal is between 30 and 100, and his is 18.2.  She was shocked, as she'd never heard about a correlation between the two, as was another doctor in the practice, and my son's Dermatologist.  It's a good reminder that we need to be our own detectives when it comes to our health.
