Making wigs from donated hair?

I have a great niece who has very very long hair, she wants to donate her hair to our granddaughter. My dauther has been on you tube and is positive that she can make a new one from the hair that she has donate. Know anything?

I just posted the same thing. From what I found you need a few ponytails to do it. But everywhere I have found it is more expensive to do it this way then it is to buy one? There has to be somewhere that does it for less? Good luck, hopefully someone knows something.
