A year ago, I was diagnosed with diffuse alopecia areata. It was shortly (about one month) after I had started taking medicine for anxiety. My doctors said there was no way that it could have caused it. However, I quit taking the medicine because I was hoping it would help. Over the next six months I lost about 70% of my hair. But after 6 months, it quit falling out. Now, I have a head full of curly hair (it used to be straight). Now, about a month ago I started taking tramadol for back pain. After about three weeks of taking the medicine, I started to notice my hair was falling out again. About two weeks ago I found two spots. I quit the medication again. Now, my hair has stopped falling out. Has any one else had the same reaction to medicines? Or is it just a coincidence?

my started after I had my ovaries removed and was on a course of antibiotics after
doctors said it was unrelated.. I have one 4mm spot and lots of new ones
Mine started about 9 months after 12 weeks of ridiculously strong antibiotics 3 times a day into a port in my chest and 10 weeks of oral antibiotics after that, all following an epidural abscess I somehow developed. I've held on as long as I can, but I'm getting my head shaved tonight.
Coincidence?
