Hey everyone I have had alopecia areata for about 4 months now I have a large bald spot on the back of my head and a few smaller bald spots on the side of my head I was wondering if anyone here uses minoxidil as a treatment and if it has been successful for them?

I have been to doctors here but they really dont help much at all ...I recently went to turkey on holiday and many of the workers within the hotel noticed the large bald patch on the back of my hair and immediately knew what it was one of them gave me the number to a doctor to get steroid injections which has helped a friend of his with the same problem but i was not there for long so didnt get to do this ...and another advised me to see a very well known person in a chemist who i spoke to he gave me 4 things which he said would help 1 was minoxil spray 2% the other was betnovate cream and the other 2 were his self made treatments he seemed like a very trustworthy person and very wise and since quite a few people recommended him to me I trusted him. anyways I have been using these 4 treatments on my hair its been 1 week now and i have noticed hair growth on the side of my hair (note* that i did have really tiny hairs there already but they were just not growing) but still no growth on the back of my head Im hoping it will grow back very soon the guy at the chemist did tell me it could take up to 60 days before I notice anything if it does help further ill be sure to let you all know how the treatment is going.
