Miss New Jersey

Hello! I'm Haley and I'm 19. I was diagnosed with Alopecia universalis when I was nine months old. This year I am competing for Miss New Jersey without my wigs. I struggled for most of my teenage life trying to accept that I was bald. When I finally did it was the best feeling ever. I'm doing this not only for myself and other girls struggling with Alopecia but anyone who has something that makes them different. I want everyone to know they are beautiful. Please help me reach my goal of $1195 to compete for Miss New Jersey!

You are brave and an inspiration. I was just diagnosed last month...most people probably wouldn't notice yet but I am an emotional wreck over this. Hearing from those of you who are farther down this path than I am is the only thing that is keeping me afloat. Thank you.
