Alex is an identical twin. His AU started about 2 years ago and his hair went rapidly. I am so used to it now that it doesn't bother me... nor did I think it really bothered him. About a month or so ago, we noticed that his twin brother was losing one of his eyebrows. shortlyafter, he began losing his fair in spots. It is going at a slow pace.... but is happening. We decided to have a talk wot Junior to explain what was happening to him. He was okay about it. Alex was there and told me he did not want his brother to loss his hair. When I asked him why... he told me that he didn't want the other kids to make fun.of his brother the way thy have made fun of him. This was very heartbreaking to me because he had never told me about this. My babies are 6 and I think that it is so horrible that he has to endure so much emotional pain at this age..... and now we have to brace for another..... Alopecia..... I am very angry with you!!!

I'm really sorry you have to go through this yet another time. Just stay strong for the two of them and they will be just fine. God bless you guys!

You story sounds similar- I have fraternal twins and one has AA with classic spots but was almost totalis and we tried anthralin and it seemed he gained most of his hair for awhile- his alopeicia started at 3 years old in -Mar-2008 and he is 11 now with the classic spots but has eyebrows and eyelashes with underarm hair.  The other brother was diagnosed 6 years later and has AU and hair fell out rapidly beginning in Sep-2013 and now has no eyelashes or eyebrows. I understand your pain, we can cope but I often wonder if they are hurting.  I have the one who has had it longer that is totally comfortable, the other I worry about most because he is just now dealing with losing all his hair as of Dec 2014, it all finally fell out.  I pray for your strength.
