Hi,
My daughter is 4 years old. We have recently started noticing that she is not responding to any sounds or voices. We got really tensed. We took her to the doctors and our worst fears came true. The doctors told us that she has a hearing disability. But this is not a permanent one and can be cured over time.
But no one in our family is deaf. So when I said this to the doctors, they told me that this will be non genetic.
This might be due to some viral infections, which gets passed on to the baby during the birth process. And in my case, this viral infection was not identified by my doctors due to which it passed on to my baby and thus she is affected. It is said that these infections can affect other systems as well.
So it was due to the negligence of the doctors this was not identified. I am not sure what to be done now. I really wish that they pay for their mistake.
I am thinking of hiring a birth injury lawyer, https://www.campisilaw.ca/ to know more about this. But I am not sure regarding the success of this since it’s been 4 years now. However, I need to know the truth regarding this.
Has anyone faced such a situation? And how did you come out of it. Any experiences?
