Hi Terry -

For 6 tubes of blood I certainly would expect a really high quality orange juice ( no pulp ) and some authentic Irish Raisin Bread. (toasted w/butter preferrably )

See what you can do and also , where is their location and the procedure for those of us that would like to give up some tiger blood .

Thanx
My parents and I all participated in this years ago. Go to www.naaf.org to find out how to participate. The funding for this closes in September.
I did this at the conference...it's not so bad. The worst part was the long form paperwork, but worth it for a worthy cause! ..and yes, 6 vials of blood, but only one poke! (YAY!) and for anyone with children wanting to donate blood, they can do so with just a mouth swab, providing they haven't eaten anything in the past hour. :)
Thanks for donating your time and blood to science. I think this Registry is our best hope for a cure.
I would never do this for NAAF - they have one person with Alopecia working in the organization, the rest is heavily relied upon to get funding from the US government, they make you feel unworthy if you aren't taking pills or buying wigs and though I would love to go to a conference to meet THE GROOVIEST alopecians, I never get time off work to be able to enjoy :) cheers from Montreal!
Hi Terry,

Just happened to come across this post... What did you decide to do? I just registered a couple days ago and also was asked to participate in the 2nd tier. I'm on the fence, would love to participate, but not sure I can take on added expenses right now. I'm just curious if you went ahead with it. Thanks!

Kathryn
I was going to go ahead and do it, how ever I have Kaiser Insurance and it was going to be so complicated that it was going to have to make all of these special arrangements that I did not have the time and patients to go ahead with it.

Terry
Unless things have changed, registering is free. It's just some paperwork and a blood sample.
because, I had to see my doctor the doctor that was part of the study in Denver was not allowed to see patients. and it became about getting the blood out of kaiser and having the dr. take the time to fill out the paper work.
OMG this hurts my head to even think this one through.
I must be living in Paradise.....
