Hello everyone. I would just like to share my story. 13 years ago I discovered a bald patch on the top of my head whilst brushing my hair..It was irregular and quite large.. I went to my local GP and consequently to another Dr. for a second opinion. Both diagnosed my hair loss as Alopecia Areata. Basically both Doctors told me there was no cure except cortisone shots or to see a hair specialist. However when my mother saw it she said she knew of a cure, something very simple. She first saw people being treated with Alopecia Areata in Chios Greece in the late 1930s. I thought I would give it a try and it worked. I have also helped a few people with the same problem and it also worked for them. If anyone is willing to try it I would gladly share the home remedy:)

Do whatever works for you. The home remedy worked for me and its a once off treatment.

yes ofcourse if the funfus is on the surface ,, but it lives in the last layer of the skin and its not a simple fungus u can kill just with a shampoo.......most often faith is what gets you closer to a solution doubt only gets you farther!!! i had nineteen patches and i got rid of it ... i do get one or two sometimes rarely but am quick to get rid of it so it doesnt spread!!

ofcourse this works like a miracle ... the point is to get to the bottom layer of the skin so rub till your skin is bruised n pinkk!!!! go at it with a vengeance or u will be hiding behind wigs all your life!!! its not stress related!!!

I would love to hear what the remedy is!

Do tell us what the remedy is.

she already did.. kindly read all the comments by Olga in the discussion

I did tried exactly this remedy years ago. The principle is known and it is based on producing a local (topical) irritation to 'distract'the white cells and leave the hair grow back again.

The problem with these treatments (its not only garlic but alsoiodine, and other alergens that irritates the skin) is that they cause quite some bad marks (which are quite visible if you have little to no hair left) and - again - it is not working always, the problem could easily return.

Nevertheless, I encourage people to try it. A word of advice though: don't leave the garlic potion too long on your skin because it will burn it and it will start pealing off in ugly looking flakes (my case). The arsenic within the garlic is the main active ingredient.

yes its a recurring problem, if u leave the patch for too long without treatment it spreads all over!!
do what ever it takes to kill the fungus feeding on ur hair roots asap!!!

Yes the garlic did sting Cristian, and I was adviced to leave it on for approx. 20 minutes, then rince off with cold water. Its been 13 years for me and my hair is fine. I also found out my father tried the same treatment before I was born, he had a big patch of hair fall out on the back of his head. The treatment worked well for him, except it grew back a lighter color. When my younger was born he had a lighter patch of hair in the same spot lol. Genetic mutation? But that is a different subject altogether. Matteo did you also use this remedy?
