New to the world

Hello Alopecia World,

I am so glad to have found you guys now I don't feels so alone. I knew their were more like me I just never see them. I just shaved my head, and I love it I'm not going to let this thing control me any more. How ever I have not gotten to the point of going out in public. But I'll be there. Anyway glad I found you guys.

Hi Ceecee!  Welcome!  I agree its a great feeling to know you are not alone.  I have Alopecia Universalis.  I lost all of my hair 3 years ago.  I found this site last year and its made all of the difference.  You have a wonderful attitude.  Keep doing what you are doing and take it one day at a time.

Hi Ceecee! Welcome! You will find that there are more of us than you realize.My bout with alopecia has been in the news lately for a couple of reasons:1. I recently shaved my hair and now sport a henna crown. 2. I recently released a children's book about a little girl with this condition. Now people I have known for years are sharing that they too have it. I never knew because of the wigs and weaves they wore. Just know that with, or without hair, you are a beautiful person!

Thank you for the words of encouragement.   there seems to be an upsurge of ladies with weaves and wigs I just never asked,  didn't want to bring attention to my own condition,   Now I tell whose ever interested,  because we ay have more in common than not.  Did the tattoo hurt  that might be cute.   But I love my bald head I just have not worn it out in public.  What is the  name of your book any way.
