I read some people's success stories on re growth and it gives me hope that maybe it can happen to my daughter, sadly when you asked those who've had success about their treatment, they don't want to share- you would think that they will gladly help but no they don't. Of course I will not jump in and use the same treatment but I just want to know what could possibly help my daughter grow her back- dont we all?

Thanks Aimee, you are probably right.. I just get frustrated when people say oh they see peach fuzz on their childs hair and then ill ask what product they used then ill get an answer- oh i dont remember the invoice is at work, if it was me and something was working for my child i would remember it esp i apply it to her everyday.. I do checkback every now and then on this site but i jus dont have hope for treatment anymore..

I will definately share - when my son developed AA he was devastated.  As a mother, I set out on a quest to do everything I could to help him through it.  We got him started on a diet free of gluten, dairy, sugar and anything processed.  We changed his shampoo and deodorant to all natural products - threw out everything with strong scents and chemicals.  Cleaned our house from top to bottom and installed a few air purifiers in the main rooms. He started taking zinc, biotin and a probiotic, and started seeing the chiropractor on a regular basis...by the time we got to the dermatolgist he was well on his way to recovery.  He went for two rounds of Kenalog injections......At its worst, he had around 10 bald patches, today he is down to one small patch on the back of his head.....it has definately been a difficult journey.......

Just like me, Aimee. ;)

I have found two success stories as well. I don't know how true they were. They both talked about taking certain viatimans & changing diet. I think that it's possible that could help but I have not successfully done this myself so I don't know. I'm going to cut back on inflammatory foods a little & see if I notice a change, but I'm not getting my hopes up to high.
Me too, our Drs pretty much shot all my hope. I guess it really depends on your immune system whether it will grow back or not, yes diet helps, for now i jus give my daughter vit d..
Hi Leonore, thanks for the info, my daughter is 3 and she has AT, her drs didnt offer her any treatment at all, took her to homeopathy dr and told me that she has unknown allergies n was given antihistamine to take everyday dnt know how it will help with the growth.. Ugh! Soo frustrating..
