Hi everyone,

I mentioned to my dermatologist that I was thinking about getting permanent makeup done because I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes. She told me that she wouldn't recommend permanent makeup for asians with alopecia because the tattoo color doesn't go well with asian skin tones. She said that the dark brown/black color has a reddish tint (either immediately or after fading a bit, not clear, I should have asked).

I wanted to see if anyone out there would agree? I am terrible at drawing on my eyebrows, and I think having no eyebrows/eyelashes really enhanced the flatness of my face in an unflattering way.

That being said... can anyone recommend a permanent makeup artist in NYC?
