Plaquenil versus CellCept

I just returned from my 6 month derm visit.  I was diagnosed with FFA about 6 months ago (have been losing hair for 4 1/2 years)... and was immediately put on plaquenil.  The derm told me today that it did not seem to be "doing the trick" (reducing inflammation).  So he wanted to switch to Cellcept.  My question is - has anybody had any success with Cellcept, and how long did it take?  Also, is anyone (or has anyone) taken Cellcept and plaquenil simultaneously?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Lo.  My Derm offered CellCept as an option, too.  Did you decide to try it?  I haven't yet.

I did.  I have been on it now for about a month.  I really don't see any difference... but not sure with such a slowly progressing disease - that I would.  My scalp is still pink.  I never had pain or itch... so it is hard to tell if something is "working".  How are you?  How is your loss?  Are you still able to cover the loss with your own hair?  I'd love to hear.
