Prednisone, Methotrexate, Xeljanz for alopecia areata

Hi-

I have had alopecia areata for about 7 years now. I have been on methotrexate for about 2 months now while awaiting insurance approval for xeljanz. I was wondering if anyone has had success with either of those two and how long it took to see results?? My doctor also has me doing a trial of prednisone for about a month now, my alopecia has seemed to stabilize as I am not losing as much hair but it does not seem to be growing back yet. Wondering how long and was dosage anyone has been on for prednisone and when it started to grow back? Also what side effects you encountered??
