Hey Denise, I have been dealing with diffuse hair loss for 4 years now. I've lost over half of my hair and it continues to shed. I've been to every specialist under the sun, had a scalp biopsy (revealed 35% of my hair in resting phase, no inflammation, ruled out AGA) and still have zero answers as to why my hair is shedding so rapidly. I bought an extremely expensive Follea lifestyle topper 1 year ago and can't bring myself to wear it. My hair is pretty sad, I use bumble and bumble camouflage spray, but it's getting worse and soon will have to figure something else out. I opted for PRP treatment on July 22 of this year. It was very uncomfortable and it started a massive shed that continued for 1.5 months. I started seeing regrowth (little spiky hairs everywhere), then it began to shed again about a month ago. My hair is actually worse than it was before the procedure. Come to find out, PRP is not suggested for CTE like mine. The underlying cause must be found and treated to hault the loss. I purchased a package of 3 for $3800. When I went for the second treatment (I was very apprehensive), the nurse that was going to administer told me that she feels uncomfortable and that it looks like hormone related loss. She sent me to a hormone specialist and I was found to have non-existent progesterone. I also have very low ferritin and stage 3 adrenal fatigue. Basically, the perfect hair loss storm. I am trying to address these issues to see what happens. As for the PRP, if I can get my shedding under control by addresssimg the underlying factors, they've agreed to give me a free treatment, if not, I will receive a refund for the remaining two treatments. So, it is depending on what is causing the loss whether or not PRP will work or not. I've seen research that it helps for AA and AGA, but not for everyone. It's a really expensive gamble!

Thank You for your reply

If you lose around 100 or more than 100 hairs every day, you should be concerned about the future of your head. Take action timely and retain the maximum number of hair.
