Can anyone give me some advice on what to do with a wig that has become 'puffy' at the crown.

The wig is a human hair wig, a Yaffa, and although I was warned not to get conditioner at the top of the wig to avoid this from happening, I did. I was told that conditioner will do something to the knots to cause this. It happened to a wig I had before and after 'disecting' the top to see what had happened I could see that it had almost become a 'rats nest' between the mono top and underneath lace.

Besides getting a whole new top sewn on, is there any other solution to help smooth it down again.

I would appreciate any advice besides the advice I was already given about avoiding that area with conditioner.......wished I had taken that advice more seriously...lol Thank you.

Hi

I'm sorry I can't help with your questions, but there is a lady here Cathy C (she lives in Canada), who may be able to help. Why don't you message her and see what she says.

Thank you all for your advice, I appreciate it very much. I will look into all of your suggestions.
