hey all...I joined a a few months ago, however I'm rarely here. Not sure why as it seems like a wonderful place to be. Anyway my 5 yr. old daughter was diagnosed about 1 year ago with Alopecia. She hasn't gone completely bald. She'll start to thin out and get patchy spots all over her head and with Olux E Foam treatment we got a ton of new hair growth. She started loosing again back in Oct. and we have seen some new hair come back but her Dr. has stopped the Foam as it is thinning her scalp too much. She then prescribe Protopic Ointment which is what we use for her ezcema anyway but that leaves her hair so greassy looking that I woudl rather not use it and take the chance she'll loose all her hair. So she had another appt. last week with the dermotologist and she gave us a prescription for Dritho-Scalp but from what I've heard aobut it I'm not sure I want to go that route. She also suggested Rogaine, but again everything I've seen says not to use on anyone under 18 and my daughter is 5. I'm sure they are both fine or why else would a pediatric dermotologist prescribe and recommend these treatments. So I was just wondering if anyone else had tried these treatments and how they worked.
