Growing up every now and then I would have little patches of hair missing that would grow back within months-year. In June 2015 i got a little bald patch on my chin and this very slowly spread all over my beard in months. i didn't do anything about it and hoped it would grow back for a while. Months later I did end up going to see a dermatologist who started injecting steroids? Into my face. I had 2 treatments and on the second I realised a few eyelashes missing, the dr said we cant do anything about that right now but let's focus on the beard. Over the Christmas holidays i realised my eyebrows, more lashes started falling out and a few days before christmas i had multiple patches on tbe back of my head. Within one month I lost most of the hair on the back of my head, the front, sides and after using hair fibres for about a month I was given no choice but to shave my head. I started taking Hairpo and Hair Nails Skin vitamins. When I went back to dermatologist he said it was too wodespread to do injections and i started taking them in tablet form (Panafcort) He also told me not to bother with vitamins because they wont work. Although I continue to take them. My GP also prescribed Antam? Which is a cream I put on my face eye brows and head daily. Im very hopeful that my hair wil come back, i'm finding it hard to adjust being bald and my eyebrows thinning day by day and nearly no top eyelashes. Has anyone had something similar hapen and if so what other methods or medication were used to have hair grow back?

I'm SO GLAD you spoke up to him Return life. I did also (again) on ADML about 2 hours ago.

Prednisone and Alopecia.

Show me "the money" the results.

Show me the threads from any Alopecia site.

Show me people using Prednisone (long term) with a full head of hair.

I was talking about Alopecia return-life. This site is about Alopecia!

I was not talking about other conditions. Please read site name Alopecia World

I

You must read the site name return-life

Alopecia World.

No treatment or cure on the market that works.

Please feel free to list links if you disagree....

But who was research? What is science?
If crohn disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis have been more studied it is maybe because they affect more lives... they are also autoimmune disorder that are treated with biologics.
Links? Lol aren't you aware of what Dr King did the last 2 years? Even cnn talked about it. Dr Donovan also is mentioning very promising results of xeljanz on NAAF. This is 100% alopecia.
Can you imagine if scientists and doctors had your attitude. Oh my God, it would be a nightmare. And not because a treatment doesn't work on 100% patients that it is not a good treatment. Chemotherapy doesn't work for all cancer, are we going to stop chemotherapy for all patients? Just because a few haters are mad?
U know what Dom... maybe u r living well with this disease ( I don't think so personally otherwise u wouldn't be on this site) maybe u are frustrated for others reasons... maybe u lost hope. I did too for 8 years but NOW I have hope again... for hair. I don't care if it's a cure or treatment. Instead of crushing people emotionally if you think something is bad for our health bring a valid point... bring scientific knowledge, not your negative 2 cents
All good Dom. After all like it or not we have something in common brother.
Return Life, I would be tempted to marry you if I wasn't already, lol!

Thanks for the psychological insights into my behaviour and mindset.

Frustrated , mad, hater, emotion crusher and no hope (all correct)

I think I joined this site 6 or 7 years ago. Sometimes I don't post or read for a year or two. Then I have  spurts. Like most Alopecia sites, the same topics are recycled but there are always new people.

A fact of ALOPECIA is people crush themselves emotionally often by chasing non existing treatments/cures.

I am a voice in the wilderness ( like John the Baptist). Many want my head!

I preach that repentence comes from within. Much like remission.

There are many blinding sand storms in the wilderness of Alopecia.

We are all worthy of acceptance and IF a cure/treatment came along, I would come out of the wilderness; catch a bus and visit my Doctor.

Dom, Xeljanz is a TREATMENT ON THE MARKET THAT WORKS! You can purchase it with a prescription. Or get it for FREE (with a prescription) thru Pfizer's Hardship Program (Xelsource) like I am doing. Or get a 4 month supply ($12,000 worth) FREE thru Pfizer's Co-pay Card that you can download online. Or go to Turkey and get it from a pharmacy there without a prescription for a fraction of the price.
