Regrowth?

I haven't been fully diagnosed yet,but I'm 100% positive I have ALopecia I am 99% bald and recently cut the maybe 40 strands left very short so I can
 wear My new wig! I am not getting used to this! I wish I could be proud and say ya I'm bald! I can't even be bald in private when no1 is around! Why??
I hate looking in the mirror now also! But I have noticed something and it's giving me some hope! I gave noticed white fine fuzzy hair coming in all over my scalp!! 
My first appt with derm is on 28th! So what does it look like when it starts to regrowth?

I've attached a pic. I lost all of my facial hair last year, but now it has completely regrown. Most of it is still white, although there are some patches where the original colour has started to slowly return.
I have patches on my head where the hair fell out long before my facial hair, yet the head patches don't have any signs of regrowth.
Alopecia has a lot of randomness in it's behaviour...
