Hi all,
I became AU 3 years ago. During the past summer I began seeing new hair on my head. I held my breath for 3 months and finally touched it. It's real.

Now it continues growing but I pinched up a bit & it pulls right out....over and over and over. Like it did when I was losing it, it just doesn't have a grip.

My question is: is there any sense in keeping this hair? I actually look worse now, the patches look a lot weirder than my smooth head so going 'without' isn't an option now. I'd like to hear what's happened to others. I really was hoping that was real hair up there and now....Well, what a pisser.

Any comments? Thanks to all.....m

HI Mb, I hate to hear that your hair is coming out so easily. Do you take any vitamins ? I take hair skin and nail vitamins and use nioxin shampoo and scalp treatment it really seems to help. I had au for almost three years and as soon as noticed these tiny hairs as you have I started the vitamins and it really has helped me. I dont know if it would help you as everyone is differant but I hope this help you out. Have a great day
Nice to hear from you, Becky. Tell me the vitamins you take. My new hair had no grip, just comes out. I'd certainly give the vitamins a try. I've read vitamin D and sun are helpful; that some people see growth in summer and tend to lose it when the sun ebbs. In fact tried D in the beginning but it didn't stop the loss. Might be worth a try again.

So glad it's working for you!! I hear so few success stories and it's so encouraging! May it continue. Thanks again.....MB
I take pharmassure hair skin and nails. You can buy them at rite aid. I also use Nioxin shampoo and scalp treatment theat you can buy at wal-mart salons. I hope this info helps you and best wishes to you.
