Hi all -

I was recently diagnosed with extensive alopecia areata. I've been to four different dermatologists, and everyone seems to have a different opinion on how to "treat" the alopecia. The doctor today recommended applying Retin-A to the bald spots, so pretty much my entire head, which is supposed to have similar effects to the drugs used in contact sensitization. I can't seem to find much credible research on this drug and alopecia. Has anyone else heard of using this before/used it themselves? Would be grateful to hear others experiences!
